PARTY AT SEA
Cruise to Clifton on luxury Catamaran Enigma where you can dance or swim, chat or chill, soaking up the incredible scenery while a top local DJ brings the beats. The cruise leaves the V&A Waterfront at 2pm and returns at 5pm, with the final cruise for the summer available on the 8th of April.
WINE SAFARI
Embark on a unique 3-hour trip on the Waterford Wine Estateís Wine Drive Safari, where youíll be whisked via Land Rover through the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg Mountains. During the safari youíll have a chance to taste Waterfordís award-winning wines in the vineyards they were created from. Expect bubbles on arrival, delectable snack platters and a wine and chocolate tasting to finish, at a cost of R1600 per person.
MUMMY’s BOY
Join the hilarious Prev Reddy at the Baxter Theatre for his 4th one man show – one that audiences won’t want to miss out on! Prev has been sharing the spotlight with his no-nonsense, outspoken alter-ego Aunty Shamilla (who portrays his mom) – but now that he’s entering his late 20’s, itís time to emerge from her shadow and this show will be the bittersweet farewell to the Aunty Shamilla character. Of course, she won’t be going quietly…
GARDEN TOUR
Every Wednesday, you can take a guided tour of the beautiful gardens of The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa, located in the Constantia Valley at the foot of the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The tour will take in the surrounding forest (with trees that date back 300 years), structured gardens, picnic lawns and eco-zones that include 950 vines, as well as Herb, Vegetable and Citrus gardens, which grow fresh produce for the hotel kitchens. Freshly-baked scones and tea will be served after the tour. Tours take place at 10am at a cost of R190 per person and booking is essential.
SLURP’s UP
Tuck into handmade noodles and bowlfuls of flavour-packed broth at Ramenhead, the latest restaurant from the chefs behind FYN, Peter Tempelhoff and Ashley Moss. Itís first come, first served at this vibey spot at Speakers Corner in the CBD, with an open kitchen where diners can watch bowls of authentic ramen assembled in the ëfinishingí kitchen. On the menu are several different ramen offerings and Japanese snacks like gyoza dumplings
LONG TABLE
Head to Boschendal for an unforgettable feast on the picturesque lawns outside the Olive Press! The Valley Harvest Long Table will be a collaborative occasion between Boschendal, Franschhoek Valley Wine Tourism and several leading restaurants in Franschhoek, with profits raised from the event going to three charities in the area. Each of the five courses will be prepared by different chefs, with Boschendal wine pairings throughout the meal. Tickets are limited and priced at R1500 per person.
