It brings an atmosphere of casual decadence and bare-footed opulence, where boho-chic meets retro-romance- fit for the worldly traveller and diner.

Perfect location

Franschhoek lies in of the most beautiful wine valleys in the world, just 45 minutes from Cape Town and within half an hour of the Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington, and Somerset West wine routes. Originally known as the Valley of the Huguenots, many of the wine farms still bear their original French names.

Dieu Donné, the new home of Country Grand, is a prime example. Translated as “A gift from God”, the name could not be more fitting. With panoramic views of the Franschhoek valley, neighbouring Stellenbosch and Drakenstein mountain ranges, the quiet creeks and vast vineyards of Dieu Donné bode the perfect sanctuary for this unique Countryside Café.
